KL Rahul was looking for this thing after scoring a century in Lord’s, was not waiting


New Delhi: In the second Test between India and England (IND vs ENG 2nd Test), Team India’s opener KL Rahul scored a brilliant century and started writing the victory letter from there. It was not easy for Rahul to score such a big score in the first innings with the new ball.

KL Rahul scored a memorable 129 off 250 balls in the first innings of the Lord’s Test. During this he hit 12 fours and 1 six. Thanks to this performance of Rahul, Team India managed to score 364 runs in the first innings. Rahul was adjudged ‘Man of the Match’ for this century.

KL Rahul has also got his name written on the Lord’s Honors Board. Rahul said, ‘I am checking that board everyday to see if they have written my name. We had to give a good start while batting first. It was necessary to score more than 350 runs in the first innings and that is what we did. We will continue to do so in future also.

Rahul ends 31 year old drought

Rahul ended a 31-year drought at Lord’s and became the first Indian opener since 1990 to score a century at this historic ground. Before Rahul, former Indian opener Vinoo Mankand had scored a century at Lord’s in the year 1952. After this, the current Indian coach Ravi Shastri scored a century in the year 1990 at Lord’s Cricket Ground.
