An eye-witness tells ETimes that Rubina remained in her car for about 45 minutes until the double-door van arrived. Says the witness, “Guess, she wanted a double-door vehicle so that her staff could also be accommodated in her adjoining enclosure. The single-door van that had been called for her had to be sent back, unutilised.”
Adds the witness, “The shoot had to be modified in such a way that this time was not lost. A few other scenes and close-ups were taken with a few actors from the film being present on the set. Rubina got down from her car only around 8.45 am when she had actually arrived in time at 8 am.”
When texted, Rubina laughed it off with a reply that read: “Ha ha aahaa. To make it more meaty, you can also add that I refused to shoot in the real location which is a slum area- and left the set!”
Another funny reply came from Palash Muchhal (director) who said that Rubina did not get down from the car- but it wasn’t for a double-door vanity van. “It was because it was raining.”
The Rubina-Hiten-Rajpal ‘Ardh’ is being targeted for a 2022 release.
